iPhone 2G (1st Gen) 8gb back panel repair

As you can see there is major damage to my original 2G iPhone 8gb back panel and trying to find a replacement part has been like trying to drill a hole in my head. Do you all know any affordable options for a repair part?

I can only find ones that are like $35, which is the same price I just bought the new LCD screen WITH a digitizer for this. I don't understand how that is possible. I will be replacing pretty much everything on this phone at this point.

The front bezel, LCD screen, antenna cover and now the battery cover back panel. The only reason I am not selling as is, is because the touch screen will not work properly and does not slide, which I believe has to do with the LCD screen being cracked.

However, it could also be a problem with the logic board too, maybe? Won't know for sure till I replace the LCD screen, unless you all have a better suggestion?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I found a great video on how to repair the back panel but it is in German. I plan on, once I get a cheap replacement back panel, to do my video but here is the one I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqka3Vqp...

Good luck with your repair!
