Why does my Nikon cool pix L27 Camera shut off?
I don't want to buy another darn camera what is wrong with this stupid one.
It's been sitting in its case by itself with a fresh pair of batteries

Usually if a camera randomly shuts itself off its related to the battery . It can be a bad battery , or just the contact points could have dirt on them, use a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol to clean the contacts in the camera and on the battery . Have you tried a different battery, if none of this brings any joy you can try one of ifixits trouble shooting pages.
