Removing demo software on HTC One M8

I got a demo unit (HTC One M8) through work. I have tried to restore this to work as a normal phone, but I was unable to do so. There is an app called Demo that I cant uninstall. The Developer mode can't be touched but USB debugging mode is on (when I connect it to my PC). I can't do a factory reset as the OK button is greyed out.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

I baught one m8 with demo mode as impulse buy, didnt see this hidden in description. Demo cannot be deleted from settings as option is greyed out. I did have adb enabled though so I unlocked bootloader with HTC dev and rooted. Once custom rom was installed demo mode was gone.

Try doing a factory reset with the phone off, turn the phone on by holding the power button and the vol - button for around 4-5 sec. this should boot the phone into bootloader mode. in the bootloader menu go to either factory reset or recovery( don't remember how it's labeled but it will be one or the other) to navigate in bootloader mode use the vol + to go up vol - to go down and the power button is select.

factory reset from bootloader menu will only return to demo mode when restarted. However if adb is enabled then you can HTC unlock and root. Install custom rom and demo is gone.

How do you know if the adb is enable?

Then I would flash stock HTC one M8 firmware (that is compatible and works with the phone fine) once the bootloader is unlocked which can be done instead of installing a custom ROM.
