Dead MacBook Replace Fuse?

Hi all,

Recently I got a MacBook Pro mid 2009 (13,3") that won't start any more. The device does absolutely nothing. The only thing that does work is the battery indicator but only when the magsafe connector is supplying power. It gives all 6 leds, but after I disconnect the charger it gives nothing. I treid SMD reset and starting the machine by shorting the powerpads.

I opened up the MacBook to check the fuses and when checking the brown fuse (which can be found in the pictures attached) doesn't let thru any power. Would my best bet be to replace the fuse? And does anyone know what specific fuse this is?

That's not a fuse. Get a schematic and a boardview for 820-2530, and check PP5V_S5, PPBUS_G3H, PP3V3_S5, and report back voltages you get.

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I got:

PP3V3_S5 2,25 volt

PP5V_S3 1,36 volt I couldn't find PP5V_S5 in the schematics.

PPBUS_G3H 1,86 Volt

Plug in charger, no battery. Measure PP3V42_G3H at pin 2 of L6995 and pin 5 of U6901. You should get 3.42v at both points.

Then with battery and charger unplugged, change multimeter to diode mode, red probe on ground, black probe on either side of F7040. Number? Then, red probe on ground, black probe on pin 2 of L6995. Number?
