After a fall my mac doesn't work on battery anymore.

My mac fall down. It was working on battery at the time. Now it doesn't work on battery only when it's plugged. I have "Not charging" on the battery message and the magsafe is always green. Of course when I removed the magsafe, if went dead

Basically it's a desktop now.

I ran the coconutBattery software and my battery is find (replaced it a few months ago). I did Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) with no change. I will open it to have a look but

I was wondering if it's MagSafe Board which is dead or a Logic Board issue or something else.

Thanks for any idea.

Since the machine has been dropped it would be a good thing to remove the top case and check inside the bottom case if all cables and connectors are well seated. You could check if the battery connector/sleep sensor board is still well connected to the logic board.

went to see Mr Genius at the bar. He tried a new battery (empty) the mag safe came orange, then a battery charged, the safe mag came green. Then He launched the diagnostic for the battery (not charged) and the mac could not see it. He could see the charged battery but could not charge it. So strange behavior. He thinks it's either the connector to the battery that are louse or something funky in the logic board. Will open it when I have more time
