Screen not responding correctly

My phone just started not responding currently. It will respon at the same wrong spot or just ghost touching. I've tried to hook it to another screen but it still happens. The repair guy said it might be the screws not in the correct spot caused by human errors last time I tried to replace it myself.

UPDATE:

I tried to put paper between the 3 flex cables and that seems fixed the ghost touch issue. But now there is a vertical line about half a inch wide that doesn't respond to touch.

Thanks for any answers and advise.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Could be screw damage, could be a bad part and could also be lack of pressure on flex connectors. Test with a known working screen with the phone open and connectors properly installed. The pressure problem shouldn't be a issue when not fully installed. If this is the case salvage the foam from your old screen or find a replacement for the foam. Also be sure to check for debris in the connector.

Remove the paper. Try another screen, otherwise I would suspect a damaged digitizer connector. If you need a new connector, let me know.

I've tried 2 working screen on it already, but it doesn't fix the problem. What should I do if it's the problem with the connector?

It will need a new one soldered on which requires specialty equipment. If you are unable to do so, send me an email and I can help you out. My address is on my profile.
