Display stays lit after shutting down

Hi there,

I replaced my A1211 Macbook Pro's display today (actually I re-assembled the top with cables/connectors from another MBP), but when I turn the MBP off after using it the display stays lit (white). How can this be when it's turned off?

Does anyone know which connector or cable is causing this problem? Thanks so much for helping out!

Seems like one of the cable is exposed to the ground. Try to reset all the connections you worked on. If there's any exposed assembly, seal it with Kapton tape or something non-conductor tape. A Kapton tape should look like this. You can also have it here. Once secured, your display should behave just expected. Hope it helps.
