iPhone doesn't respond at all.

Hey iFixit members!

I do have a big problem with iPhone 5s I was using.

So the phone doesn't charge. (which is kinda weird, because the phone looks almost new, always been in a case, and never dropped or opened) I checked the lightning port on iPhone, and it was clean. As you can see.

It works only with one cable. I have tried almost 10 different cables and still it didn't work.

I work a lot with iPhones, as I'm changing screens and batteries usually, still i haven't never experienced this kind of problem.

What can cause this problem? Thanks!

If it is not charging at all with any of the original cables and/or does not connect to iTunes on your computer and/or works ok on a new charged battery, but won't restart once battery is empty, then you probably have a failing U2 USB charging/control IC.

You should rule out charging dock failure by trying a new known good one (no need to remove the old, just disconnect it, overlay the new one over it, and plug it into the board and test).

Have you tried using the different cables that does not work, both "front" and "back"?

If they work one way but not the other, it's either a missing or bent pin in the iPhone's Lightning dock, thus you'd need a replacement lightning dock, ans Rany said. So deffinately try that.
