Can I replace a disconnected battery connector?

While trying to install the new battery I must have put to much pressure on the brown connector(step 5, Installing new battery). I now have several pins showing and a connection line on the base of the connector. I don't see any way. I'm hoping someone has a good idea.

the connector must be soldered to the board - that's the only way to handle that problem.

try to find a cell phone repair shop in your area - most of them are able to resolder the connector to the board.

surely they don't do that for free - but they are normally the only ones who are willing to do that repair (and have the right tools and knowledge)

i did that repair for others too - so try to find someone in your area/country and the ipod could be revived

Thanks, that's something I hadn't thought of. If I can find a shop in a reasonable distance I'll give it a try.
