Can you fix an overloaded iPhone 4S?

My friend plugged a 12V RC car into the audio jack of an iPhone 4S

The wall socket sparked and then the screen went crazy then red then black.

We tried turning it on but to no avail.

Charging it just makes it heat up and doesn't fix it.

Is there a way to fix it? Like replacing something?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Marco Delos Santos, you will first have to open it up. Use

these guides for that. Then check for any charred or even missing components. At minimum you willhave to replace the dock connector and the battery. Both of those parts will be damaged and should definitely not be reused. "Charging it just makes it heat up " means that you have a short circuit somewhere, but unlessd you take a look at the logic board, there is no way to say where or what. Charging IC as well as multiple other components could have suffered.
