Playstation 3 Will Not Come On

Okay, so I get this Playstation 3 (60 gigabyte) and when I first hook it up and everything, it was working fine until the screen started to get static and started to pixel-ed , then it died. I then turn off the screen, flipped the switch on the back and started it again - the light was green yet nothing was on the screen. I have tried switching HDDs, I held the button three times until it went red, I tried multiple HDMI cords - nothing. The light stays green, it does turn on - but that's it. Nothing else. The screen is black and it says, "No Signal" - flashing up and down - as if it is a memorial for the machine.
