Whats up with the charging?

Ok, really frustrating. I need help badly with this one. So I was charging my Samsung galaxy tab3 lite and if I tilt it in certain directions, it shows as not charging. I restarted it, it started at 23%, but when turned back on said 54%. Suggestions? Help? I need answers
