Why is my fan working loudly after a liquid spill?

I picked up the laptop, but due to recently having grown my hair, it was wet and a small amount of water entered the left side, when open in front of you for typing. The screen flickered so i closed the lap top and left it to dry overnight. The next day the computer worked fine, but now the fan makes a loud noise, and it seems a bit slow.

IF its running slow and fan on high you damaged one of the heat sensors for the macbook. There are a few on the board. It will need an ASD test to tell you which has failed.

Apple Service Diagnosis. You can find the downloads for them by using google search or take it to a local apple store.
