Replaced lcd, screen works, then half works, now none of it works

Hello! I have a samsung galaxy s5

I replaced my screen + digitizer paid about 160 on amazon for one with best reviews.

Replaced the screen and it worked perfectly everything worked I tested everything. Then a day later, this happened

half the screen does not work.

Then someone called me and it went totally black

any help is appreciated!

Restarted phone several times took battery out and reinserted and it kind of fixed it -- the whole screen turned back on but it was still flickering. When I attached the old lcd it works fine So I just returned the whole thing got my money back, assumed it was a dud.
