homebutton dock not ok

I have bought a set to repair the homebutton (which needed to be pressed every day a bit more.)

Everything came off pretty good and fast.

The homebutton connector was hardly touched by a fly, when it shot loose.

Took the old out and the new in.

Problem is, there is no docking thing where the connector should be in.

Then I did find a small piece of plasting floating in the bottom of the iPhone. It belongs to the dockingport. Under a magnifier, it looks broken off. Can that be repaired? The dock that resides on that motherboard, backplane (not sure about the word).

Greetings,

Rob

It sounds like you may have broken off the FPC connector on the charge port. What i would recommend doing is simply buying a replacement charge port flex for your phone and replacing that and you will have a new home button connector as well.
