touch registers to the left of screen and bottom dead zone

I dropped the phone and the screen cracked. After replacing the digitizer the screen registers my touch one icon to the left instead of where i touch. There's also a dead zone on the bottom portion of the screen that prevents me from accessing the dock icons.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

you could try to reset the iphone (press the sleep and the home button at the same time until the phone restarts)

if that wont work, i would suggest that you reseat the connector of the digitizer.

if that wont work either - the digitizer is faulty and in order to get it working - you have to replace it. contact the company where you got it from - and try to get it replaced

Hi Ken. I have the same issue. Broken screen, and I replaced the glass, but now the touch is off. Is there a way to calibrate it? Ken, did you get yours working?

no - you can't calibrate it - replacing the faulty part is the only way to get it done

Completely agree with markus. I had to buy 2 more digitizers before it worked. The 2nd digitizer (the one i bought after posting this) was from amazon and it had the entire right side unresponsive. The 3rd digitizer i bought on eBay from a seller by named "gadgettown" and it worked flawlessly. So in short, the quality of these replacement parts vary.
