iPhone 4 / 4s screen replacement

Hi folks!

So I just purchased two LCD/Digitizer kits for my own iPhone (4s) and a friends. I've only discovered now, however, that the insides of this phone are slightly different.

Moments of google confirm that my friend's phone is an iPhone 4, not a 4s like my own.

So here I am with a spare iPhone 4s LCD screen and my question is: Any hopes of a compatibility? I'm assuming probably not, but I figured I'd ask before I broke the news to my poor friend.

Thank you! :)

The screens are the same. The Mounting trim piece with the metal tabs on it is different.

Remove the old screen and separate the frame trim with a guitar pick.

Do the same on the new screen.

Remember the frame orientation on the screen.

Now apply new tape or glue if you want to the frame and stick the LCD assembly back to it.

Now install.

I do this all the time since there is no point in having two different screen types.
