starts perfectly but no icons
starts up i log in windows backdround everytrhing is perfect but no icons when i ctrl alt del an say restart it tell me trying to shut down explorer

Can you explain more what you mean here. Are you using MS Windows Vs Mac OS-X? Can you boot up within the OS alone here (without running any apps)?
