New LCD wont work after I have replaced it. Water damage.

So I'm working on samsung galaxy s4, as the phone had lcd water damage, before I replaced the lcd I did test the screen on the same phone, and the lcd did work.

Later on after I have removed the old lcd i did the test again and the lcd worked.

Now I have glued the lcd to the phone and connect the lcd, and now the lcd wont work.

I did test the cable connections 5 times.

Any suggestions what my be the problem

You may have damaged the LCD.

But my guess is, the water damage may have caused trouble to, there is no point replacing parts, if you are not going to deal with the water damage

Hi.

Thanks for the answer, what is the best way to treat the water damage, clean the parts + the motherboard by using isopropyl alcohol. Or what do you think is the best way.

Use 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, and a toothbrush, although this isn't the best way, it's better than rice etc. which does nothing.

Clean up the board using the alcohol and toothbrush, and put some in a tub and give it a good soak. Leave it for a bit to dry off.

What I would highly recommend though, is going to a professional shop with an ultrasonic cleaner, as this is much more effective and safer.

You can always try another LCD after doing this also if it still doesn't work. :-)

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
