Leaks after pump is turned off, and portafilter is removed

Howdy.

I just stated using my Barista machine again after its been sitting about 6 years. Seems to work good, coffee taste great. Steam light goes out a little sooner then I would like but it works.

But after it pours out the coffee and I turn the pump off a little bit off water continues to leak out of the boiler. Even with the portafilter removed. Its getting messy enough that it annoying.

I ordered some descale and some tune up parts. valve, seals, etc.

What steps do you recommend to isolate and resolve the leak?

Thank you.

If you have leaking from the brew head you'll probably need to re-tension the brew head spring. This is the only thing keeping the water in, and over the years they tend to weaken. Simply removing and stretching the spring slightly should do the trick, provided the silicone nipple seal is in good shape.
