There's nothing to see on my screen

When I opened my laptop there's nothing on the screen just the cursor only. What should I do?

Hey Poala,

If your Acer Aspire laptop is showing only a black screen, see the Acer Aspire 5253 Has Display Problems problem page for possible causes and solutions.

Here's a fix:

Press Alt key + F10 on booting and a blue screen appear and you should see 3 choices. Choose the last of the 3 which is to shut down the computer. After this, it should boot fine.

-Also if that doesn't work press F2, F9 and F10 and press enter. Then reboot.

Paola Dasig, this "just the cursor only" sounds like your computer is not finding the OS. It could be a hard drive failure. For more help on that, you will need to let us know what model your computer is and what operating system it is using.
