Dropped computer - now colors are inverting with horizontal lines

I dropped my macbook last week and now the display is acting funky... When I adjust the monitor, any dark color is replaced by a neon color (sometimes blue, green or red) in horizontal lines. These lines flicker constantly. I have to move the display back and forth until I find a good angle where these colored lines are not appearing. This is happening every time I open the computer.

1st take the back cover off inspect where the lvds cable plugs into the motherboard check it if it's loose. Preety much your next step is to tear down the lcd with a guide from ifixit and check the lvds cable on the back of the lcd to see if it's dislodged abit. The last option which you can use to skip the second step is to just buy a decent used display from ebay.

Most likely the LCD is broken. To test things out I would connect an external display to see if the external screen image is good if it is then the display is gone.

The real question here is how much are you willing to spend on fixing the system. Keep in mind your systems life span is getting to its end. Consider the costs and how much life it still has before making the leap on repairing it.
