Water spill and dissembled but now keyboard doesn't work

i spilled a tablespoon of water on my laptop when it was closed and so i think it might have got into my screen and keyboard.

the thing is i dissembled my laptop to check for corrosion sites on the logic board, but before i dissembled it my keyboard is working. when i went to reassemble it, it isn't working anymore.

the screen was black before i dissembled it. after i reassembled it, it will remain black for 30 minutes before it will turn to the start up screen.

before i thought that because since there was no corrosion sites, and my keyboard was working fine at the time, then that could have meant only my screen was damaged and replacing that would be fine. but now the keyboard doesnt work as well. i'm not sure what could have went wrong, but ive checked to see if the ribbons were in tight (which i think they are) now i'm at a lost as what to do

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You are fighting too many problems at once. This whole not turning onto main OS for 30 minutes, is this a bar on the bottom of the screen, or nothing on the screen? Take a picture of what you see on the screen and upload it.

The keyboard could have come unplugged, or maybe coincidentally succumbed to the spill at the moment you reassembled it. Buy a replacement keyboard for twenty bucks and test it out.

the screen looks like this http://archive.ledfrog.com/content/image... i've read that someone had reset their NVRAM when their keyboard was not working, but there was no water spill. at the same time, i would have thought if the keyboard has suffered damage from the spill then perhaps only a few of the keys would have been malfunctioning. would you recommend trying to reset the NVRAM? if not, what keyboard would you recommend?

Ok so it boots and works, you just need a keyboard. ifixit only sells top cases which are $189 which is nuts. if someone can link to the keyboard only on ifixit please correct me and buy it from ifixit, but since I cannot find it, I link to this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-New-Apple-Ma...

As far as I know iFixit does not sell them. I order out of China several at a time.

Ok. I figured I'd point to something here if it were available. ifixit should sell keyboards, replacing entire top case when it is just a keyboard that is bad is very genius-bar-ish.
