1067MHz vs. 1066MHz? Conflicting specs.

"About this mac says two slots for "1067 MHz DDR3". Why do I see 1066 all over the place. Is this secretly compatible with the model I have? up to 8GB?

cuz it's a lot cheaper :D

I've seen Macs do this for 25 years. It is not a big deal or actually any deal at all. Components are rated at minimums. i.e. a processor rated at a certain speed will do at least that speed but it may run 20% faster than rated in actuality.

This happened when I had my 2009 MacBook Pro, and didn't affect the system. You're worrying about something that's essentially harmless. To an extent, all components are underclocked from the factory, with some being more overclockable then others.

If your machine starts crashing, then you will probably want to start with RAM and see if that's the problem.
