Kenmore HE2 plus washer Cycle Signal Won't Turn Off

My front-load Kenmore washer's (HE2) Cycle Signal button won't turn off. I read the manual and have tried to hold it down for 3-5 seconds -- it does not turn off. I have unplugged. It does not turn off when the machine powers on. Does anyone have any suggestions? It beeps throughout the various cycles constantly. Thanks!

Unplug it for at least 5 minutes to allow it to reset.
