No picture or sound, just green light on front
Toshiba TV 40RV525U picture locked up and slowly faded away, now nothing but a green power light

this could be a power supply issue as well as a main board issue. Do you have the back of the unit already? Do you have a multimeter? Are you comfortable measuring some voltages? Post some images of all the boards with your question so we can see what you see. To post images follow this guide

AS I signed in with my email the blue line stating no video input flashed across the screen. Changed the input to HDMI2 where I had the cable hooked up to my yamaha receiver which is getting signal via HDMI from set top box. I will now attempt factory reset! Just turned it back on . Havd TOSHIBA & Green LED lit up. Now just came up fuzz and initial setup menu. I will run with it and see what happens. If you have more info or ? please contact jamietollefson@gmail.com Bye.
