Toner card reader doesn't run on Oki B2520 Laser printer mono

Se acabó el toner y me dispuse a cambiarlo por uno nuevo y seguí las instrucciones del manual y de la pantalla:

1. Abrir el tapa frontal
2. Sacar el toner viejo
3. Introducir el toner nuevo
4. Cerrar tapa frontal
5. Introducir tarjeta chip toner (en el lector de tarjetas que hay justo debajo de la pantalla de control)

Cuando introduzco la tarjeta en el lector, ni la impresora ni la pantalla muestran ningún cambio. Es como si no hubiera introducido la tarjeta.

He probado con un nuevo toner y con una nueva tarjeta y el resultado ha sido el mismo.

Parece ser que la avería está en el lector de tarjetas. El arreglo podría ser sustituir sólo el lector de tarjetas, pero el servicio técnico oficial Oki me ha indicado que habría que cambiar toda la placa base.

No he encontrado ninguna información en IFIXIT sobre arreglar este tipo de impresoras.

The toner ran out and I started to change a new one and follow the instructions in the manual and on the screen:

1. Open the front cover
2. Remove the old toner
3. Insert the new toner
4. Close front cover
5. Enter toner chip card (on the card reader just below the screen control)

When I insert the card into the reader, the printer and the screen show no change. It is as if I had not entered the card.

I tried it with a new toner and a new card and the result was the same.

It seems that the fault is in the card reader. The arrangement could be replaced only card reader, but the official service Oki has told me that would have change the entire motherboard.

I have not found any information in IFIXIT about fixing this type of printer.
