iPod touch 4g black screen after screen change.

Hi,

I happend to have an ipod touch 4g. And i decided to change the cracked screen to a new one. The new screen that i orderd from ebay seemed completely fine. Now the new screen is not working. I can hear the sounds that it makes and even voicecommand works. The screen is just black and is not showing any life. (Oh by the way the digitizer works just fine) Could the backlight or lcd be bad or damaged (broken) when i replaced the screen?

Double check the lcd connection to make sure it is plugged in all the way. Could also be a faulty lcd. I had a customer with an eBay screen this week that started out just all white but then stayed black.

The lcd connection is plugged in all the way and i think that the lcd is broken or faulty. I have the same problem that your customer has. First when i installed the screen it just gave me a white screen and when i try to restart (Home+Power until apple logo) it just boots back to white screen. But now i can't see anything on my screen i can just hear the sounds. And thank for the answer i will try it! :)
