Why is my laptop not booting with power led button blinking?
my laptop is not booting with beeping sound and with blinking power led button? pls help... TIA...

I don't know the particular beep error code on Compaq machines but, have you recently changed any hardware component?

Unplug your power cord and pull out the battery. with the battery out hold down the power button for a full 60 seconds. then reinstall the battery and plug in power and try to restart your computer let me know what happens.

Thanks... But it did not work...
Retry Jimfixer's precedure but this time, afeter holding down the power button for 60 seconds, don't reinstall the battery. Just power the laptop from the power cord.
Your clock might be faulty. or check the CMOS battery.
