Phone heats up with extended use

My phone has been through a number of repairs such as replacing the back casing and multiple screen replacements and generally is in good working condition. Recently though, with extended use the phone heats up. Does the battery need to be replaced or is there a different issue or can I simply ignore it and all will be fine?

Hi Yonah,

All iPhones with extended use heat up, it's normal, this is due to the fact that you're using the processing power constantly, so things tend to warm up a little.

Think of it as when you use a computer a lot, it starts to get hot and kicks the fan up a notch, except the Iphone doesn't have a fan so cools down in other ways.

Would you say the same if it's heating up after 10-15 minutes of watching videos and also doesn't seem to cool done much?

Thanks
