Backlight issue after replacing the digitizer

Had a phone brought into my workshop where someone tried replacing the glass themselves and did a VERY poor job; the connector No3 is destroyed almost completely; however there is no backlight on the LCD (No1 & No2 connectors are absolutely fine); tested the LC Don a different phone - Works OK also tried with a known-good LCD - no backlight

could the No3 connector affect the backlight? if so where could i possibly get it re-soldered?

thanks!

Hi...

Connector #3 is for the ear piece and well as the ambient light sensor and proximity.

Can you please clarify if there is still am image on the display even though there is no back light.

Getting it resoldered may be a problem... you can buy the FPC connector itself on ebay.... ive provided a link for you...

But finding someone who is capable of micro soldering is going to be the problem.

It may just be easier to replace the entire motherboard.

Hope I was of some assistance...
