Will only take a charged battery

i'm having problems with an iPhone 5s, The iphone will only take a battery that is charged it will not charge once an adapter has been plugged in. I have changed the battery , and also replaced the charging point hoping for an easy fix. Obviously this is not the case so just wondering if anyone out there has any more information on what could be causing the problem.

Hi, this sounds like a U2 IC chip problem. :-)

You would require microsoldering skills to solve this issue.
