iOpener sprung a leak; what is the liquid inside it?

Hi there.

I placed my iOpener in the microwave for a second round of heating and a seam failed causing hot liquid to shoot into my microwave and onto my oven and all over our kitchen.

We had baby food out and I'm very concerned that the ifixit label states the chemicals inside it are known to cause cancer. The stuff got all over my hands as I was trying to wipe it up.

What is the liquid inside the iOpener?

Thank you.
