Changed Battery - Screen Black - Vibrating Every 5-10 Seconds

I changed the battery very carefully. It took me quite a while as I didn't want to damage anything. Upon assembly, the phone screen would not turn on and when plugged in, the phone vibrates every 5-10 seconds.

I've read others that have had this issue with the LCD screen being damaged, but I honestly don't see how that could have happened.

I've tried:

  • Reseating the LCD cables
  • Removing battery and installing again
  • Hard reset of phone
  • Putting old battery back in and testing (same issue)

It definitely sounds like a bad LCD, try changing it, if that doesn't work, then you may have bust the backlight. :)

You are correct sir. Ended up taking it to a place up the street. They are replacing the LCD screen for $78. They also do OEM battery replacements for $45. I should have just gone that route to begin with.
