Touch ID not working after screen repair

After replacing the screen on the iPhone 6 multiple times a couple of the phones touch Ids stopped working. There is no visible damage to either cable or the home buttons assembly and the home button works fine. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Ok just in case anyone sees this question and has the same problem I'll tell you guys what fixed it for me. I just replaced the main back flex cable and it started working again.

Is the flex cable that sits on the LCD panel ?

Yes it's the one that runs along the back of the lcd plate.
