My Dell Laptop is less than one-week old and has just now, in th elast few hours, developed a problem when the HDMI cable is connected
It is completely unresponsive and only works when the cable is removed again. I bought the Laptop, which worked well until today, ostensibly as a means of entertainment but that is not now possible.

there should be a button on your F keys to toggle different screen fwd option, for example will duplicate your screen or extend the screen or turn off your screen and only show HDMI device.
