Air 2 LTE Lightening USB connector snapped off in the socket

Announced on October 16, 2014, the iPad Air 2 is a thinner successor to the iPad Air.

Options

My iPad dropped to the floor whilst charging.

It is fine - but the lightening connector snapped off at the end.

I've tried a few things:

- Heating needles to melt into the connector

- Jiggling the connector with a paperclip

- Putting thin needles in from the side to lever it out

It just stays there.

Any suggestions for something that works?

Options

I recommend trying with a pair of thin tweezers, such as these. Some have had success by using seam ripper to remove the remaining connector piece.
