Test LCD screen on 6+, glass repair

Im in the middle of a 6 plus screen repair, I'm attempting to replace just the glass only and lucky enough I've been able to remove the glass without any damage to the screen.

Well I'm not sure yet, I'm trying to test the lcd, I've connected both connectors from the lcd to the logic board and pressing the power button is doing nothing.

I'm thinking my battery may be dead, I'm just wondering if its safe to charge it without display connected...?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I have a full display assembly lined up in case I need to replace

It actually comes with all parts, camera, shield plate and home button.

Now it's only the home button I need to replace, the flex cable is ok, yeah?? And should I replace the camera will the original be better quality...

I would install the new assembly as is. Especially if you're still feeling your way around the repair process. Simply because there is too uch that can happen by removing an already installed component like getting oils on grounding points or contacts & when frustration starts mounting its time for a break. Get the repair done, high five yourself and come out on the positive. Good Luck

Yes it's safe to charge. Don't connect the LCD while its charging though.

An easier way to test if it's the battery would be to plug the LCD cable in and then plug in power. If it's working it'll turn on.
