Screens lifting after a week of fixing

I fixed my friends iPhone 6 and everything went fine. It was working but the screen didn't seem as tight to the frame like it does for the other iPhones but I didn't think of it too much. After about a week the screen is lifting now he said. Did I not push it into the top frame as much when I closed it? What do you think the problem is?

Thanks

It sounds like a poor quality aftermarket screen. The glue on these aftermarket screens just aren't up to scratch and the fail normally along the sides. This then causes the screen to pop up from the frame.

You can attempt to glue back to the frame, but this is a pretty delicate job. I would return the screen to where you brought it from

I bought my iPhone 6 from eBay about 2 months ago. I haven't dropped the device but a little over a week I started to notice that the whole left side of my screen had been lifted. If anyone knows what to do please let me know.

Yes I would agree with John also when you did repair, did you take a picture of all parts? I usually do this one to for my own assurance, also just in case something looks different next time I work on it. Sometimes frame damage can be a big factor in the screen not applying all the way as well. I would also take a look at the frame, as well as what John suggested.

I don't take pictures and never thought of it before but I think I should start doing that for now on sounds like a good idea for when new iPhones come out.

Yeah I bought it from a eBay user that I haven't dealt with before. He hasn't said anything to me in a while about it so I'm guessing everything is fine now. Thanks for the help.

I have encountered this on several occasions when the phone housing is bent or twisted....even the slightest bend with the iphone 6 seems to stop the screens from fitting properly

Just a bad quality screen. If you could heat around the "colored" portion of the glass, lift it slightly then replace the double sided tape used that should be a more permanent solution. China definitely uses double sided tape on these screens. 3M makes a nice tape for this (0.2mm) Just make sure you are lifting only as needed and even heat without burning out the digitizer and or lcd.
