iMac 27 mid 2012 Fan blowing at full speed

Ok, the stand of my Imac broke, so I opened up the Imac myself and replaced it with a new stand. After closing the Imac together, the fan blows at full speed. I have not changed any parts.

I tried to find a solution to the problem. Have done SMC reset and PRAM reset a zillion times, this does not solve the issue.

I have opened up the computer again and tried to see if there was any cables to the fan that wasn't set right, also checked cables to the hard drive.

Any solution or idea? Tried to find something about this, but most solutions seems to cover earlier Imac versions.

Lets see if we can identify what sensor is giving you trouble by running this app: Temperature Gauge Pro. Post a screen shot for us to see.

Did you replace your HD? It appears the drives sensor is not working. This model of iMac requires a special cable adapter when using either a HD or SSD which is not an Apple drive or one that supports the way Apple accesses the drives internal thermal sensor.

No haven't changed anything inside but the broken henge/stand. I did actually open it again to see if the cables were loose or not set right, but everything seems to be correct, is it a cable that easily break?

Hi Dan,

Here comes a screenshot, it says though that "These sensors appear to be not working properly: Unknown"

Any idea?

What drive do you have in your system? A HD or a SSD, or a Fusion Drive.

That's for use when you change the hard drive. The OP stated he had not done that.
