MacBook Pro receiving no Power. Magsafe lights green & still no charge
Hi!
I've got this strange issue with an early 2011 13 in MacBook Pro. About a month ago my MacBook decided to stop receiving power to operate and to charge the battery.
Magsafe lights green but battery isn't charging. When battery power depletes then I can't power the system on and still Magsafe lights green.
I've already checked the following:
- Magsafe Power Adapter is good. Charges any other 13 in Macbook.
- Battery is good. Charges in any other 13 in Macbook Pro.
- When replacing battery with a fully charged one, then the system powers on. However, even having Magsafe Adapter plugged in, the Macbook drains power from the battery, not from the Power Adapter.
So I took the Macbook to an Apple Service Center only to be told the Logic board had gone faulty.
Personally I think the magsafe DC-In Board is damaged. I may be wrong and, in that case, I still need to replace the entire Logic Board.
Any suggestions?
Best,
Johnny.
Is this a good question?
