I've borken the home bottom flex, right next to the finger scanner as I was replacing a screen.
I have purchased a new replacement home button, but the finger scanner does not work.
Is there a way to replace the bottom and get the finger scanner to read anything?

The Touch ID function will lose if the original home button was replaced.

Also NEVER reinstall/update iOS again until Apple fix the phone for you, or the phone dies altogether.

Put the original screen on and take it to Apple, hopefully they will warranty it for you.

You can replace home button but phone can be hang with error 53. be care full, before replace home key make sure all security features disabled.
