No light comes on when I power it on

I got this 3ds from ebay, and when I try to turn it on it has no power. I thought it could maybe could have been the battery, but I changed it and still, it doesnt have any power. Is there anyway I can fix this without having to go ask Nintendo to repair it? Nintendo's repair price is exactly the same as buying a refurbished 3DS (which really sucks).
