keyboard got wet wont power on

ok the story is kind of odd!!! girlfriend was on the deck of a triple decker and lady came out with soaking wet clothes to hang dry. water dripped through her deck onto her lappy. she said she didnt wipe it off first but kinda poured it off. it was about one cubic half inch of water. lol she used a hair dryer and put a dry towel in it upside down in the a/c. i told her the rice rice but she dont have enough at the moment.

any tricks?

A hair dryer is the worst mesure you can take. You probably pushed enough of the water into the machine to kill it. Dismantel it completely look for evidence of water and/or corrosion. If you find anything, clean it off with rubbing alcohol and let it dry on the shelf for at least a week. Reassemble it and try your luck.

Look for proper charging, perhaps change the RAM and keep your fingers crossed. The keyboard is almost certainly toast.

didnt even have to do this! she put a towel in the comp and left it upside down in the a/c and it works now. she says the enter button is messed up tho.
