Screen turns off when snapping the screen back in. ideas?

After replacing the screen on a iPhone 5 we plugged all the ribbon cables back into the correct spot and rubbed them with alcohol. When we went to snap the screen back into place, it will snap in but the screen goes completely black. we took it back out and it functions perfectly but as soon as we try to snap it back in it goes black. anyone have any ideas we could try?

It's faulty screen cables they are shorting the screen out had this problem before

A new screen will fix this
