Did I fry my mainboard?

Hey i just did a housing replacment last night on an iphone 5s, and durring the process i had issue getting the battery out and ended up puncturing it, Iwanted to know if i pluged it back into the main logic board if it could cause it to short the board or am i okay?

Also i ened up scrathing the black side of the Volume/power/led flex cable if the main gold side is fine will i still run into issues?

Chase, if you punctured the battery, you must replace it. The lithium in those batteries reacts violently with humidity and can either explode or catch fire. Do not reuse it but discard it properly. As for your scratching the flex cable, this will depend on what it looks like and if it destroyed the connection. To eliminate any issues, replace that as well.

Okay thank you, i have another battery on the way. With the flex cable its only enough that the white ubderneath the back of the flex cable is showing, if you look from the gold side it is not visible. Lastly i did end up trying to plug the broken battery back into the battery to see if i could get it to power on, can that be bad for the board. The battery is out now and being properly desposed of.

It should not have damaged the logic board.

Okay so i wanted to get an oppinion, i uploaded a pic of the flex cable, do you think it will still work after i install a new battery?

Hard to see but it is possible that it will work. Cases like this I do replace the flex to ensure that it is in good working condition. It's a bit of a guessing game :-)
