Hp laptop won't recognise iPhone 5s

Hi, I have an iPhone 5s that shows up as unable to recognise/ device has malfunctioned when plugged into laptop. Itunes won't recongnise either. It's fully updated and so is itunes. I've uninstalled drivers and itunes and reinstalled and still no luck. Ive spent an hour following various guides on the Internet which havent made any difference, mainly deleting and reinstalling drivers, iTunes and restarting computer. I can connect various other devices so know it's not the cable or USB ports. I've changed the charge port and no difference. The phone charges and works perfectly otherwise. I own a phone repair business but this has beaten me. The phone is still under repair warranty but was badly beaten up and I've fitted a new housing and screen and suspect apple won't touch it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Change the lightning cable and check
  • Change the USB port and check
  • Right click on my computer and open the device manager in manage, right click on usb port you plug the device and turn off the power save mode in power management.
  • reset the USB hub using device manager - right click on USB root hub - in advance you can find the option to reset hub option

Hope this will help you to fix it out :-)

Make sure you entered unlock passcode on mobile to "trust" the computer before connecting to usb.

If not worked, make a DFU restore.

Thanks. The 5s isn't recognised so doesn't come up with the trust option. I don't want to try dfu/recovery mode as when iTunes reboots phone in normal mode it may not be recognised again and will be stuck like that's. It's working at present, just not syncing with laptop.
