My microphone won't work unless I am using my headphones. My microphone doesn't work at all, i tried taking calls and making recordings but it detected no sound. But it works with the headphones plugged in. Any idea what is wrong??

Try cleaning the headphone jack, it could be that your phone thinks that you always have headphones in because of dirt and is trying to use another mic.

A way I've used to fix this is by sucking out any debris in the microphone or using a compressed air bottle to get out what could be in the way. Anything in the way will block sound going into the phones microphone.
