Which adhesives should be used in different scenarios?

Hello,

I've been fixing phones and tablets for a quite some time now, I've gotten used to different devices of all sorts of shapes and sizes. But I still sometimes have issues with adhesives. What sorts of adhesives should be used to hold together plastic and glass? aluminum and glass? aluminium and plastic? plastic and plastic?

Is there one special adhesive to hold all sorts of materials together or should I have different adhesives for different situations?

Just looking to expand my knowledge on adhesives and perfect my repairing skills. Any help is appreciated :)
