Why does my xbox shut off completely after 20 minutes of playing

I wanted to know that why does my Xbox 360 turn off completely when i play for 20 minutes and in order to play again i have to disconnect it from power outlet and connect it again.

It's overheating... Open it and clean it out and it will run way long. Replace the thermo pasted also will help too

Cause also the battery connection it heats up quick and turns off the whole Xbox any suggestions
